CANCELLATION & CHARGEBACK POLICY

Updated January 15, 2007

In the 2006 Season, our third year in business, during the 3rd and 4th business quarter, we received a lot of new customers.  Older customers come and go as new services like DSL come available in their area.  But our policies do not change often.  Especially for canceling an account.

It is imperative that a customer cancels their account using our system, and no other means.  We had to change our policy to the online cancellation form to ensure that cancellations are handled on time, and promptly.  That way our costs are managed, and we can continue to stay in business.

However, some people do not seem to realize how much damage they cause when they do not follow this policy when they do.  So we have had to go another step further to enforce these policies.

As of September 20 2006,  We have registered with the following institutions/agencies in order to provide financial accountability submissions.

Equifax (Directly Affects Credit Report and Score)

Trans Union (Directly Affects Credit Report and Score)

Experian (Directly Affects Credit Report and Score)

Chex Systems, Inc  (Affects any Bank Account, Loan, or Pay Advance Request)

TeleCheck (Affects any checking/savings account that verifies with TeleCheck)

These companies, provide data to all financial institutions that review your payment history before issuing credit cards, loans, credit lines, and bank accounts.

When you file a chargeback, you automatically authorize your financial institution to reverse charges.  At the time that you do it, it its like a one sided reverse and all you see is the money back.  But it works just like you having to do a stop payment on a check.  It costs a TON.  Also, it doesn't cancel your account, because you are still in the billing system as recurring.  It only does a single reverse for a single transaction.

On a merchant account, they ATTEMPT to charge the merchant, or the company who charged the card.  They give us the option of disputing these charges.  MTG ALWAYS DISPUTES THE CHARGE.

The only chargeback reason code valid with a service provider of our caliber, is "Canceling a Recurring Charge"  which by our terms of service, couldn't apply because per our terms of service, you must allow us 1st chance to reverse charges.  Valid charges include charges applied or scheduled for an active service that has not been cancelled within the given time period.

In short, any account reversing charges will be disputed, and the customer will be responsible for any charges.  Refusal of responsibility will be reported to ALL of the above financial institutions.  Each one will be affected with such.

As of 1/14/2005, the penalty charge for chargebacks via Visa/MC cases are $30.00

As of 3/20/2006, the penalty charge for chargebacks via AMEX cases are $25.00

As of 1/14/2005, the penalty charge for chargebacks via checking accounts/check cards cases are $35.00

Credit Reports - CO or Charge off Status - This means you made a debt that we have in charge off status because you refused to pay the debt.  Charge offs are heavily weighed, and cause label a consumer as a problem customer of the charge off is a settlement amount.  These debts remain on your report for 7-10 years.

TeleCheck/ChexSystems - This report goes directly against your ability to write a verified check that goes through these verification processors.  Any time you write a check that has to be verified, it will be declined due to a pending negative balance you owe a financial institution or provider due to making bad checks.
